From 11 May – 12 June 2011, Selfridges is partnering with more than 20 environmental and conservation groups to celebrate the beauty of the ocean, highlight the issue of over-fishing, help us all understand the threats to the ocean and make positive choices about the right fish to buy and eat.”

i was happy to see this and hoped that this would raise more marine conservation awareness among public so i went there this morning. it’s a good attempt but nothing that big that would distract very focused shoppers and get them to stop, look, read and take it in. unfortunately, their educational area on the lower ground floor was empty despite the fact that they had workshops going. pity ;-(

also, for all of you more fashion orientated, their wonderoom had on display few fashion pieces that were inspired by the oceans – go and see it!
