i made the same mistake yet again…. blogging about an exhibition that is about to close. not very useful for a handful of people who will read this.
apart from the sea of people that visited at the same time i did, i thoroughly enjoyed all the exhibits. and there were a lot of them. it was a treat seeing the pieces in flesh specially for someone who admires the man and who wrote their final work in high-school on post-impressionists. he was a troubled soul, so much ahead of his time (seeming to be an essential ingredient for all big artists’ formula). and whether you are a fan or not, you have to give the man some credit for breaking the rules of academic painting and do it his way. modern art would have never been the same without him and his fellow painters of the time.
sadly, exhibition closes on 16th Jan.
